Year 7448, Month 6, Day 8
“Correct. Good answer.”
Bell kept the gun’s muzzle pointed at Toru.
His nose caught a whiff of the pungent burning odour of the burnt DDNP detonator.
Frightened as he was, he immediately noticed, it had a smell similar to gunpowder.
ED Note: DDNP is a chemical historically used as a primer in pistol/rifle cartridges, or to detonate other explosives. A standard pistol/rifle cartridge is composed of a brass casing with a primer at the bottom, filled with propellant (usually gunpowder with some additives) and covered with a bullet head. When the trigger is pulled, the firing pin strikes the primer making it detonate, which in turn lights the propellant, which burns up creating enough gas pressure to propel the bullet head through the barrel. The muzzle is the bit at the tip of the barrel, which can serve various functions, depending on its shape.
“I will shoot you if you move.”
Bell declared coldly, while gazing down at Toru, who was stunned like a piece of mochi.
“Now…”
After confirming the surroundings, Toris raised his left hand towards Toru.
“What do you want!? Stop!”
Toru raised a pitiful scream, while trying to cover his head with his arms. Toris began to concentrate without paying him any attention. Once a blue magical light appeared on his palm, a white sphere, akin to a snowball, got discharged, and, in a blink of an eye, Toru found himself entangled up to his neck in spider thread.
Toris then uses the [Web] spell to tie up all the other members, whose knees were already bounded by the ice. They all seemed much more upset about it than Toru.
Next, he approaches Hogs, who was on the verge of fainting, due to the pain of losing his hands, and removed the sword from one of his severed palms. He beckoned Bell over, as he attempted to realign the disconnected hand with the arm of Hogs, who was breathing raggedly with a hollow look in his eyes.
“Do you think it will still work?”
“It worked on the goblins, right?”
“That’s true, but the timing is also important. I’ll ask of you.”
“Un.”
Toris invoked the [Cure] spell after saying so. Bell used the [Serious Cure] spell used to heal critical injuries, since it was more powerful.
They have tried it before, using monsters, that they caught in the dungeon, to test the possibility of reconnecting severed limbs, even if the [Reconnection] spell couldn’t be used. It would not be possible, if too much time had passed however, on top of the need for multiple magic healers, and at least one of them being able to cast the more powerful [Serious Cure]. More than anything else, it was also necessary to synchronize the timing between the magic healers.
He then reattached the other hand in the same way.
“Don’t use your hands for a while. It will still hurt, but you will be able to use them again, if all goes well. Better pray your best, that it will happen.”
Jacqueline was still in agony, while holding onto her crushed nose, and Carol wasn’t treated right away, because her wounds were light.
Carol was stunned, as she continued to hold onto the wound on her right shoulder.
How much magic power… And what was that web? It’s the first time I’ve seen… on top of that, the severed hands would be usable again? Didn’t that bunny-kin person use [Cure]? Isn’t it a high rank spell…?
Since she could also use the [Cure] spell, she knew it usually took more than a minute of concentration to cast. On top of that, she couldn’t use [Cure] too many times after casting [Flame Arrow] earlier. At most, it was one time. She could maybe use it twice, were she prepared to completely spend her magic power.
Carol pondered about it next.
Aren’t they still in their teens? They may be at most 20 years old, based on their appearance. Yet they can use three kinds of elemental magic. No matter how you look at it, normally… and they are not old enough to master advanced magic spells like [Web]. What’s more, using it three times, and even [Cure] on top of that? The bunny-kin even used extra magic power to supercharge her spells, and even my poisonous claws got treated like child play. The elf, who fought with the leader Toru, also seemed to have plenty more room to spare…
This is definitely a joke! There’s too much discrepancy!
Anyway, why is the leader Toru so afraid of the bunny-kin, no, of her magic tool? Such a thing, a magic tool to generate thunderous sounds or something like that. With a loud noise following a small fire when used, you could maybe use it to threaten someone at best.
“Well, is this everyone? Then, it’s time for a self-introduction. My name is Tolkeris Kalstalan. Toris is fine. And this is my wife, Bernadette. Bell is fine. Then, you there, … [Status Open]. Isn’t it blank? That’s gonna be a problem… Hey, you, what’s your name?”
ED Reminder: In this world names are conferred during a naming ceremony performed by a priest when a child is 1 year old. This however only happens to free people, so for a slave, who never underwent the ceremony, the name field of their status page would remain blank. It would however still list its owner’s family name in the affiliation field.
Toris inquired Toru, who was sweating bullets, with only his head sticking out of the web. In addition, all the main members of the Akatsuki were also here, excluding those, who already got handed over to the knights, and the underlings, like Miina.
“…Toru.”
He answered with a bitter tone.
“Aah, I was told that you were the leader. Wasn’t the bounty for you at 3 million Z?”
“What are you going to do with me? Turn me over to the Knights…”
“What indeed. What did we agree on in the end? The condition if I win, or, was it, until one of us dies, according to the first agreement?”
“…”
Toru regretfully looked away from Toris. He wanted to argue, that “Since neither of us is dead, things haven’t been settled yet”, but he realized, he was no longer in any position to argue. Still, he felt reluctant to obediently admit defeat.
In his mind, this was all the fault of that damn gun, throwing him off in the middle of a fight. Or, maybe he just wanted to think so.
Of course, there was no excuse, for him, breaking the rule, of it being a one-on-one fight.
“…Oi, you, I think I won in this situation, so, do you have any objections? Say it if there is one. I’m asking whether you admit it or not.”
“…It’s my loss for this match. You are the winner.”
Toru muttered the response in a soft voice.
“I can’t hear you if you mumble like that. Once again, say it louder. So that everyone here can hear you.”
“…”
Toru distorted his face in regret. He seemed hesitant in admitting anything during this time.
“Speak up. With conviction. Or, would you like to die again?”
Bell stood in front of Toru with the muzzle pressed against his forehead, while he was wrapped up and restrained like a bagworm, quietly sitting down. Toru got filled with dread when he looked into her eyes.
These eyes… this is bad. This woman, I have to say it properly!
“I lost!”
Toru shouted out, as if he were deranged.
“…That’s right. So then, what happens if I win?”
“Ah, you become the leader of the Akatsuki from this moment on! …Damn it…”
Toru was in front of the public, as he made his declaration. But, at that moment…
PAN!
Toru’s face distorted with severe pain. For a moment he fought he just got shot. But in reality, it was just Bell slapping him in the face.
“Hey, is that how you address your leader?”
Her gaze was cold enough to make him shiver. Her voice, cold as winter frost. What was floating on her face though, was not an expression of disgust, but of faint mockery. Still, her eyes were not laughing at all.
“Ah…uh…”
Toru regretted everything about this whole series of events.
Why did we have to mess with these people? Such sword skills, on top of what seems to be a magic sword, and the powerful magic, and even a pistol… that damn thing made me lose, without being able to draw out even a half of my fighting prowess.
It’s not, that the level of the other party was bad or anything!
This was not an opponent we could defeat by any means. The possibility of winning, there wasn’t one from the start. If it wasn’t for that damn Zoey… In the first place, she and her minions were the ones to cause all this.
“Please rephrase your words properly.”
Bell slightly lowered the tone of her voice, and again pressed the muzzle against Toru’s forehead, before ordering him in a gentle tone.
I’m scared! I’m going to be killed!
I’m in a sorry state, but if I don’t say it, I’ll end up dying again!
“…Akatsuki’s leader is… Toris is taking over the position! … U~uh.”
Toru loudly declared while tearing up.
“Un. Should have said it from the start.”
Bell crossed her arms, with a pistol still in her right hand, and looked around with a satisfying expression, as she stood up.
“Well then, you guys. I’ll ask once again. Who is the Akatsuki’s leader?”
This time, she asked the group, that was bound by the web.
“”Toris-sama!””
“Un. My command is absolute. Understood?”
“”Yes, leader!””
It was a pretty good response.
“Alright. Well, don’t worry. I won’t do anything bad. Now then… hey, you there.”
Toris called out to Katz, since he had been pointing his sword at him until not so long ago.
“Eh, Eeh.”
Katz answered with a slightly worried look when he heard the question.
“What’s your name?”
“My name is Katz. Toris-sama.”
“Is that so. Then, Katz, I’ll ask you only once. Why did you come after us? What was your reason?”
Both his tone and appearance were devoid of any tension, as if he were addressing a slave, who had served him for many years.
“Eh…? Ah, that is…”
Katz wondered, if Toris already forgot what he said before their fight.
“Why?”
“Zo, Zoey and the others were taken away by the Knights, so, it was for revenge. I’m sorry… I’m sorry.”
“Was it now?”
“Eh?”
Katz had no idea what Toris was trying to say.
“Who ordered it? Wasn’t it an order from the previous leader?”
Toris mentioned it quietly while smiling.
“Eh? Ah! Yes! That’s right! That’s right!”
It seems that Katz finally understood what Toris meant.
“I was ordered by that guy…!”
Katz said it while pointing his chin at Toru, because his body was still restrained by the web.
“Katz! You!”
Toru, who initially also seemed confused, said indignantly.
“I don’t want to hear from you, Toru. Keep quiet.”
Toris pointed his left hand towards Toru again.
“Hii…”
Toru nodded nervously, making Toris lower his hand.
“You there, what’s your name?”
“Ga, Gamulan. My leader.”
“Gamulan. So, were you also ordered?”
Toris asked Gamulan this time around.
“Y-yes. After all, I can’t go against the leader if I’m told…”
“Is that so, I’m sorry you had such a stupid leader. But you can rest assured, now that I’m here.”
“Eh? Yes, I’m grateful!”
“And so, since most of the Akatsuki members are present, is this all of you?”
“No… There are still about 10 more people, but they’re all still kids so they’re not very useful.”
Gamulan replied, looking away from Toris.
“Are they among the onlookers? Call them here if that’s the case.”
When Gamulan called out to the onlookers, several children come forward. There were a total of seven, some of them as young as eight years old.
Toris found a familiar face among them and beckoned her over.
“[Status Open]. You don’t have a name… Well ~ now. Did you listen?”
“Y-yes, leader.”
The halfling girl Miina answered full of excitement.
“Your name?”
“I’m Miina.”
“Okay, Miina. I command you as the leader of the Akatsuki. Take care of the rest of the children… Oh right, wait in front of the red sign shop over there. Don’t move from there until I arrive.”
Miina left the area with the other children.
He continued to check up on the rest one-by-one after that.
“…Were you ordered to attack us?”
He asked Carol, who was the last one, except for Jacqueline, who was still rolling around in agony.
“…Eeh, that’s right. Um… could I ask of you to help me?”
Carol asked while enduring her pain.
“Isn’t it natural? I’m your leader.”
Toris smiled and replied calmly. Afterwards, he checked up on everyone’s status just in case. There were as many as 16 Akatsuki’s members here, including Toru, but, other than Carol, only four free people and two slaves among them had names in their status.
Toris and Bell discussed with each other in a lowered voice.
“Those without names… this is bad for us…”
“Because the name of their owner remains in their status, I’d have to do something about it.”
“That’s right. It can’t be helped. Should we just hand them all over to the knights?”
“Oi! Don’t do that…!”
Toru overheard that and hastily stopped their discussion. It would be too cruel for them to sell everyone out to the knights as soon as Toris took over! Even after getting beaten and striped of his position, Toru still had the spirit and pride on the leader of the Akatsuki.
“Oi, be sure to answer honestly. If you tell a lie, I will kill you. All of you guys, have you ever hurt any nobles?”
Noticing Toru’s voice, Toris crouches down next to him and asked.
“No. Not even once. That’s just asking for trouble. I was always careful to steer clear of any nobles, and I’ve made sure to order the rest to do the same.”
Hearing that, Toris looked at Bell, who immediately understood his intention and began asking the other members the same question.
“Is that true?”
Toris’s eyes said he would not forgive any lies.
“It’s true.”
Are you trying to pierce my soul with those eyes?
Toris stared into Toru’s eyes with a serious look.
“That so? If it’s a lie, you will surely die, and the rest of you might as well. Can you still claim, that you’re telling the truth?”
“Y-yes, of course.”
Toru nodded his head vigorously. He might have been rash, but he wasn’t stupid. He was very strict about not committing any crimes against the nobles. Also, he had never committed an open murder, except in a fight against another criminal. There were many members, who liked this strange policy of his, within the Akatsuki. Of course, there were cases, when, when going against other criminal organizations, in order to intimidate their members, they wouldn’t hold back from killing people in front of the public, but only if they were slaves, and the killer had to be at least of a free person status. This way, even if they were to be reported and caught, in the eye of the law, it was treated as destruction of property, with the punishment ranging from a whip or two, to a fine of several million Z, along with a promissory note to return the debt to the slave’s owner.
Even when Zoey and her minions first attacked Toris and Bell, they first carefully judged their targets, to make sure, they were a pair of random travellers, who wouldn’t be searched for, even if they were killed. Also, it was not a crime, if there weren’t any witnesses.
“Nevertheless, you still have a bounty of 3 million Z on your head, so, what are the charges?”
“Forced debt collection and blackmailing as a part of running a protection racket, pickpocketing, along with several cases of injuring a commoner… the rest isn’t worth mentioning… “
“So, there wasn’t any murder?”
“It’s okay, since the duels took place without any witnesses, in accordance with the rules… and the one person who broke that rule was killed before they got away…”
“That so?”
As he listened to Toru’s explanation, Toris was convinced, that the reward money of 3 million Z matched the extent of his reported crimes. Were he suspected of murder of a noble, the reward wouldn’t be this low, especially if he kept evading capture. Also, were he killed by another slave or criminal, they wouldn’t be able to claim the prize on his head anyway.
“Um, can I ask something?”
Toru hesitated for a moment, before interrupting the topic being discussed.
“What is it?”
“Um, are you perhaps a part of a criminal organization from some other city? Are you expanding to Doran?”
“Haa?”
Toris answered his unexpected question with a strange voice.
“Aah, don’t misunderstand. We are just adventurers. Even if I do have some influence… Well, it’s impossible to just overlook your sins, but I think it should be possible to reduce the punishment, if you confess to all of your crimes. Well, it’s not exactly in our power, we’d have to get another person to vouch for us, but we should be able to do as much for you guys.”
“S-so, you have someone powerful backing you…”
Toru was a little relieved. If Toris turned out to be a monster, who would hurt his own minions, and still make them follow his orders, everyone would soon turn against him. It wasn’t even out of the question for those damn Knights, to tip off the other criminal organizations in Doran, and have them all come after the Akatsuki.
Bell returned and reported to Toris, after she finished the questioning, “It appears to be just as he said.”
“I understand… then, you guys, listen carefully to what I’m about to say!”
Toris began to explain to the Akatsuki.
First, about the unnamed slaves. If they could track down their past owners, Toris would accompany them back to negotiate the cost of repurchase. Afterwards, they would walk to the shrine together and perform a naming ceremony. This way, they could obtain new identities.
Next, about the slaves who already had a name. For them, they would also negotiate a purchase price with their original owners if possible. Through a naming ceremony, they would change their affiliation, regardless of their names.
Then, as for the free people, they would be handed over to the Knights. Of course, they would still be tried on the next day of judgement and receive a proper sentence. However, by turning themselves in voluntarily, they could reduce their punishment as much as possible.
Aside from Toru and the lieutenants, all the regular members would receive the punishment of being whipped from several to ten times. If they did not commit an actual murder, they would not die.
Most people were overjoyed to hear his declaration, though there were several, who got angry, when told, to undergo punishment for their crimes.
“Shut up. If you hadn’t complained, I would have let it go with just that, but seeing your reaction, I’ve decided to take additional measures.”
Standing in front of the dead silent members of the Akatsuki, Toris declared expressionless. He was expecting this to happen.
“It’s only fair, is it not? I should not be so lenient with the lot of you. Everyone will hand themselves over to the Knights at once and repent for their sins properly.”
The Akatsuki members made a huge mistake.
“I’ll do what I can to reduce the number of lashes, but then, there are still the fines to be considered.”
Fines for the crimes, that called for whipping, would usually exceed 1 million Z. Most people would fall into despair if they didn’t have the money to pay. This was because, even if their original owned could be found, they would usually refuse to pay the fine in their stead, and the number of lashes dealt out would increase proportionally to the amount, that couldn’t be paid, and then, they would become debt slaves of the local lord, until they paid back the rest of the fine with their work.
“…I’ll pay for it. Being fair to all of you, it’s the only way to clean your past legally.”
It was the same for the Akatsuki members, who were still absent, Toris added to his statement.
“Whether you are satisfied with this approach, or not, whether you decide to go along with it, or refuse my offer, I won’t cover for the ones who don’t want me to. Maybe some of you don’t want me to be the leader of the Akatsuki, I’m not so sure about it myself. Of course, you are free to run away after the day of judgment. But, some of you will stay, and after the day of judgment, I will take control of the remaining members. Run away if you think you can escape.”
It was like they were facing a monster. Toris spoke, while donning an imposing expression.
“Then, I’ll let you know, just for reference. She and I are part of an adventurer party from Baldukk, a shield bearer and a defensive spell caster, in the Slaughterers. If you are confident that you can escape from us, who can even slay a dragon, feel free to challenge us any time.”
Toris made full use of the rumours about the Slaughters, that were being spread around by the kingdom’s knights. Bell was also staring at everyone with an emotionless cold gaze.
“Sl, Slaughters…!”
“Be reasonable…”
“But they’re so young…”
“Just now, did you say you are a shield bearer? Even though you fought without a shield…”
“Damn, I’ve heard of them.”
“Stupid, wasn’t it Carol who told you all about it?”
“Last year, I heard they slayed a huge wyvern…”
The Akatsuki’s members were stunned and baffled.
Carol also followed the rumours, that have been spreading among the local knights for the last couple years, about the Slaughterers and their incredible feats. Incidentally, she even entertained the though of joining them in the past, as their leader was said to be a great man, who didn’t discriminate based on race or gender.
If she still had any lingering doubts about becoming Toris’s underling… she was now convinced.
Toru was also surprised to hear that, and he became convinced, that he was no match for Toris at the same time.
What would happen to him, as the former leader of the Akatsuki? Suddenly he became pretty anxious.
・ ・ ・ ・ ・ ・ ・ ・ ・
“…and that’s the reason why they were ordered by their leader Toru to do malicious things!”
“They now belong to us, no, rather, they belong to His Excellency Allan Greed, the Count of Riguru, who will be taking over. I will pay the fines properly… I think.”
The knights, who Toris and Bell were taking to, felt troubled.
It was said that the total fines for all of them amounted to about 74 gold coins (74 million Z), excluding Toru. Also, their crimes were basically theft, blackmail, assaults, and some minor crimes of injuring others, so the punishments were only in the realm of whipping. This was also in part, due to the number of times they have committed the crimes.
“But it’s not us knights who will make the judgment, but the lord. Marquis Bailus [1] will be the one to judge them.”
This reply was just as Toris expected.
“I understand, and I would like to ask for them to be judged by His Highness William Rombert, the Duke of Rondol and Lord of Doran.
The second son of King Thomas Rombert, Prince William, currently served as the platoon leader of the Second Knight Group. The King gifted him a Bakkudo rubber protector set in celebration of his promotion to a platoon leader last year. Of course, it was Al who actually delivered it to him, as he had a good relationship with Prince William, as well as with the other members of the Royal Family.
ED Reminder: Each higher ranked noble also owned a bunch of lower rank nobility titles associated with parts of the territory they owned, which they could freely bestow onto other people, their vassals. The King, Thomas Rombert the Third, as the owner of the entire Kingdom’s territory, also owned multiple unassigned Duke, Marquis, Count, etc. titles, along with the associated territories. He also temporarily lent out several of his titles to his family members, including the Crown Prince, the Duke of Ronbard and the Second Prince, the Duke of Rondol.
Sometimes the Lord of the territory would have trusted people rule in their place, if they were otherwise occupied (e.g. with being the King). The Duke of Rondol, the Second Prince William, who currently couldn’t manage the territory, as he served in the army, had Marquis Bailus do so in his stead.
Nevertheless, the Lord would still visit each major city in their territory a couple of times a year to judge the high-rank criminals, which was called the Day of Judgement.
With Al not here, the two actually made the decision on their own, as there was no time to consult the matter, but, given that a reincarnated person was involved, Toris and Bell felt that Al would be willing to hear them out, even if it meant having to borrow a favour from Prince William.
To be honest, one of the reasons I made this decision without first asking Al, was that he’d surely share the sentiment of “Take your punishment and atone for your sins. Then I’ll consider helping you”. If by any chance the Knights still won’t agree, all I have to do is cut off the main offender Toru. As for the rest of the Akatsuki’s members, the fine I heard earlier makes it a little painful, but it’s not something that I can’t afford to pay. Thanks to all the support, the Kalstalan family have received from Al in turn for taking up the post in the frontline pioneering village, lately I didn’t have to worry about the funds too much.
“Please think about what His Highness William will think if you deal with them on your own and only report to him later.”
“There’s no rush. Plus, it couldn’t hurt for both Marquis Bailus and the Knights of Doran to gain some points in the eyes of His Highness William. Please take your time to think about it”
The knights though about it.
It was most likely, that they had some way of getting in contact with their lord, His Highness William (The real Duke Rondol was actually the King, Thomas Rombert the Third, who only temporarily lent out the title to the Second Prince, William).
There is no point in telling any lies here. I just want to let His Highness William share in the achievement.
Aside from Toru, who needed to be publicly judged, being the leader of the criminal group, the decision to pardon all the other members of Akatsuki was also a big enough deal, to require an approval from the acting lord.
On the one hand, if His Highness William decided he wanted to claim this achievement as his own, it might displease the Marquis … but then again, the Marquis himself wouldn’t want to go against the will of his Lord…
“His Highness visits this place several times a year anyway. He can just judge them at that time. All I’m asking, is for you to wait until then. Since there is such an option, just ask the Marquis about it … I’ve heard that the Marquis is a wise man, so I’m sure…”
Well, at the very least, it wouldn’t hurt them to pass their plea to the Marquis through the Knights’ captain.
“…I’ll try to listen to Your Excellency, but from there…”
“”Thank you!””
The two bowed to the knights together.
・ ・ ・ ・ ・ ・ ・ ・ ・
“I was waiting properly.”
Miina and the rest of the Akatsuki’s underage members stood in front of the store with the red sign, as ordered by Toris.
“Then, show me your status boards one by one.”
Toris and Bell checked them all in order, finding out, that from among the ten people here, only two had names.
“Who is this Demza family?”
More than half were slaves owned by the Demza family. They were also the owner of some of the adult members. It was not uncommon for slave dealers to throw away the newborn babies of the salves they kept in stock, as the cost of feeding them ate away at their profits.
Moreover, even if they somehow survived, if they could later catch an abandoned slave with their own name in the affiliation column, they could just sell them for about 1 million Z, with almost no costs, just for the slave training, acting as nothing ever happened. Of course, the abandonment of slaves, much as the abandonment of any children, was treated as a crime with a fine.
“The biggest slave trader in Doran.”
Miina replied to her new leader.
“Fuun, then it seems like the earlier discussion… take me there. “
If you are dealing with a slave dealer, simply point out the evidence of their crime, and there is a high possibility that it can be solved with very little cost.

Year 7448, Month 6, Day 15
I was deeply surprised when Bell alone interrupted their honeymoon and returned about a week ago. She was the last person I’d expect to skip on her own wedding trip.
I was even more surprised to hear her story. There was a new reincarnated person!
But, I still wanted to first let the Knights take care of their punishment, since it just didn’t make sense for me to go and randomly ask His Royal Highness the King to pardon some filthy criminals.
However, Miduchi talked it over with me, “Why don’t we just say we want to rehabilitate the criminals?” and she even came out with a good explanation for her idea. She suggested for me to ask His Highness William, to pass on an idea of mine to his father, “I’m trying to rehabilitate the criminals by having them work on the clearing of the dangerous front line in the Dirt Plains.”
Still, Prince William’s next trip to Doran was only around August. Incidentally, I was asked to accompany him.
Because of that, I wanted to see Toru at least once before then. It was okay to just have a talk in the dungeon, where he was being held in wait for the next day of judgment.
So, a few days later than it was originally planned, Toris came back with as many as ten kids in tow. What’s more, they all addressed his as, “Leader, leader.”
When I said, “Yeah, it looks like you had a hard time” when I greeted them, “You, be careful how you speak to our leader!” the halfling female kid refuted me heroically.
Toris intercepted her, “Stupid! This person is Count Riguru, apologize now!” looking pretty pitiful and out of his depth with the current situation. On their way from Doran to Baldukk, even though it was only a few days away, I was sure he didn’t forget to discipline them plenty, given Toris’s character. You could tell at a glance, that he had earned their full respect. Toris being irritated by such a thing was also kind of fresh.
It was pretty funny, but I’ll leave it at that, at it seemed like Toris has pretty much taken over as the slave’s owner of these kids.

[1] Marquis Bailus (バイルーシ侯爵 – Bairūshi kōshaku) – acting Lord of Doran on behalf of the Duke of Rondol, Marquis in Kingdom of Rombert
